What it seems like to me is that Locke needed a near death experience, like Desmond/Charlie did. I can't see him being part of Jacks process, I would think he would be Julliets...?

Desmond already met Jack in the same hospital, plus he got the manifest now. not quite a strech to think they met or will meet eachother. unlike kate's vag.
