Regardless (though I'd love to humor you all day on the specifics of what happens during the trailers in films), to pinpoint, when the feature film begins (after they switch from the trailers to the feature film) to the end of the credits is the length of the film, which for King Kong is 187 minutes.

The CGI dinosaurs were not as good as the ones in Jarassic Park

okok, it wasnt that bad a film, i went in and got exactly what i wanted but somehow was left... disapointed.... tis a weird feeling i tell ye... and i dont think the cg was up to all that much at all and imo, i thought that was going to be the films strong point

The physics wasn't the only thing that sucked, the biology was terrible. I mean, where did Kong come from? I didn't see any mommy and daddy Kongs about. Not to mention that you need a critical population size or Kong would have been some inbred roadkill-shovelling hick-monkey. The island was clearly not large enough to support such a population of giant apes.
