Deus Ex: Mankind Revealed

Post by Captain »

No release date, but if it follows the HR timeline it probably won't be out until fall 2016.

Looks generic and angsty. Why can't they just reboot the original, which was arguably the most engaging FPS of all time?

Yeah since the original is the furthest along in the timeline I hope they either reboot it or don't try and have the events lead to it
I love quake!

Man, so many people see the original that way but I really didn't get it. Perhaps I am just a simple man who got confused by it, but it was not as good as Soldier of Fortune or Project IDI in my eyes. To be fair, I did have my head buried in all things Quake 3 back then and that was the only game I really used to smash...

Haha, Deus Ex is over here ===>
<=== Quake 3 is over here

The only thing they had in common was FPS. Wasn't SOF just a crazy gore fest, more or less? Deus Ex was borderline RPG/FPS. Sneaking around like Hitman... it was fun shit.

Yeah, totally different game, Don. I remember Soldier Of Fortune, it's USP was gore and limbs that could be blown off. It was good fun, but it wasn't engrossing.

Deus Ex was RPG/Stealth andt the story was incredible (also, incredibly stupid) If you could make it past the very boring first level, the game just swallowed you whole.

Fuck, I might see if I can get it on OSX and play through it again. Thinking about it now, Deus Ex was actually the last computer game I ever played. I've missed out on so many good games.
