Because it wasn't obvious, you're just pretending it was now in hindsight.

Underwhelming? Be honest, how amazing do you think Manny was supposed to do against the greatest defensive boxer of his generation, if not, ever? Also, Khan hasn't fought Mayweather, you might be thinking of Hatton, and he got knocked out by both Manny and Mayweather.

I don't mind technical wins but watching the fight last night was just just frustrating - mostly because Pacquiao seemed to only throw a couple of punches then give up. Surely knowing Mayweather is a points fighter he should have gone all in forcing Mayweather to actually... fight? Mayweather barely seemed to need to do a thing.

Hey, a Jujitsu match is just two guys rolling on the floor trying to fuck each other, am I right?

You're quite right, I don't know why I thought he'd fought Mayweather. So yeah, in that case, it will be great to see that fight. And yes you're right, Mayweather's defensive skill makes other great boxers look substandard. I was just expecting something more, another gear from Manny considering all the hype and of course the massive purse. No matter how technically perfect and how scientific boxers like Mayweather are today, I think most people, or at least, speaking for myself, still want to see a Rocky type of slugging it out fight.

Btw boxing experts here, I want to know, just for the hell of it, who you would predict to win if Sugar Ray Leonard was a young boxer today and able to fight Mayweather. I know it's a fairly done topic on the net, but opinions seem mostly in favour of Sugar Ray, saying he had a similar style, a few more tricks, and a longer reach (I think). Would you agree, or is Mayweather far more technically advanced that he would win quite easily?

Any one of Hearns, Haggler, or Leonard, would beat Mayweather imo.

That one's easy. Floyd refuses to fight him until he's well out of his prime, and their respective ages favour the type of fighter Floyd is.

Both in their primes, assuming they both had modern training, you'd have to give it to SRL. Faster, or at least looks it, has beaten Floyd's dad in pretty masterful fashion, and has achieved Olympic gold, where Floyd failed (although he was definitely robbed). SRL was a decent defensive boxer with amazing reaction time, but his offensive fighting was way beyond FM's.

Wait, Hagler was a middleweight, Hearns' lowest competing weight was Welterweight, but went as high as light-heavy, so you can't really compare them to Floyd, who's a natural 147.

Whoever paid to see that fight should remember this fight next time they want to pay exorbitant prices to watch paint dry.

I was disappointed all the way around, that Manny lost and the fight was mundane, not much action.
