Plug it in, see what happens..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

its not gonna hurt anything if the mobo cant power the card, its just not gonna run. that would have to be a very old mobo not to power a gf2. put it in and see what happens.

usually if that sticker is there it means the board has a 1.5v keyed slot and if you try to ram a 3.3v card in, you will physically damage the board and the card... since they are physically incompatable.

If your GF2 doesn't work with it, you could always send it down here. My computer table's got a wonky leg :D

At least she won't be collecting spyware for you to fix later on, for that reason I think my sister's computer neds to be smashed with a hammer.

Not that I fix it mind, I get my mate to do it because I can't be arsed, so I guess he'd appreciate the break :icon14:

Yeah, making computer illiterate family members get Macs instead of PCs is a great way to avoid being called upon constantly for tech support.

had a rough one the other day. went round a sikh mates house to fix his pc.

his eldest son has been on there doing his homework and seems to have spent a lot of time browsing porn. damn thing was riddled with trojans, diallers etc.

took 4 cups of tea to fix it, made all the more difficult by pretending to be really interested in some weird indian sports thing on the telly so that i could keep the family at the other end of the room and protect his son (who was shaking like a shitting dog) from being discovered.
