Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
torrents are great when you need more RAM. beats a trip to PC World
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
Problem is, movie/game publishers know their movies/games are being pirated, and I'm sure they'll know to what extent. This means that pirating something gives off the signal that there is a demand for something. Combine that with the thickness of the skulls in question and they'll never ask themselves why people are pirating. Instead they'll be searching for ways to translate said demand into sales.SoM wrote:everyone should zeraw the games/movies so they'll get it through their thick skulls to make better shit worth a fuck without this day1 patch or DLC BS
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
I thought they'd set-up a distributed network after one of the previous raids to make taking the site offline difficult? If all the mirrors relied on the master server rather than sharing the database between themselves (you know, like how torrents work..) it seems like poor resiliency design.
I thought Usenet had gone downhill nowadays due to everything being corrupted due to DMCA takedowns?

Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
It's vary rare for me to buy a day one game due to the fact that, as Kracus mentioned, they seem to needs patches and all sorts straight away. Also the fact that the prices drop like a stone and I hate buying things that are not needed as such and then two weeks later it being half the price it was before.
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
cause ur a moron, never buy shit on day 1 son

Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
unless you want bragging rights, which many people do, hence the pricing strategy
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
I don't like buying day 1 games except for racing games. Racing games unfortunately these days have day 1 cars you get and shit and sometimes those cars when properly tuned are the best cars to own for a particular class. It does suck I agree but I'm pretty competitive in racing games and I don't like missing out. I also find that it's more difficult to get your name on the leaderboards if you haven't been playing the game since it was released.Memphis wrote:Actually paying for brand new fucking games is a total mug's game.Κracus wrote:

Alien Isolation's already 50% off, patched and DLC bombed.
I'll just not understand the 'day one' mentality with new games. I guess half of it is a willingness to gag on down on the hype and forgetting your other hundreds of games exist (be them from sales, shareware, freeware, emulated - any chump with a PC has a plethora of games at their fingertips) for fear of 'missing out' or some bullshit.
Patience is indeed a virtue. In this such land of corporation cuntism, spewing incessant and shamelessly spurious marketing bullshittery into our faces on a constant basis, it's also a prime marker for intelligence.

Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
They do, it's a good thing I like their games.

Online gaming leaderboards
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
Yeah... online gaming is a hobby of mine. Imagine that. Must be a huge surprise for you cause you know... it's not like you're posting on a forum dedicated to a game or anything.
Re: fucking swedish and their raiding culture
Virtual gaming leaderboards (a race to see who can hack the first 0.001 second time trial result) were made for people incapable of real-world accomplishments.
Like Kracass for example.

Racing games: the one place where Kracus really does own a GTI.

I'm sure I'd destroy anyone here on a race track whether it's real life or virtual.
