We all noticed it was some how missing its white and black buttons, but did anybody notice "this"?
Some kind of ninty style C-Stick maybe?
Also, ever notice the colour of the buttons is the same colour and formation of the windows logo

that would make sence... the thing supports up to 4 controllers.
the control needs its own channel when in use correct?
i think Grudge is dead on here.

Well, 4 channels is a very, very poor thing to have... 16 is a minimum, it doesn't cost more or anything to have more channels...
What i dont get, is that the numbers are alligned not with the silver, but with the green. Now if it was the silver, it would mean it was a button...
Now with it being near the green, it obviously must light up. And if it lights up, and its near a number 1-4, then it MUST be something to do with the ports...
I dont think its a channel selector, but more so a little light that tells you what pad you are using (1-4 on the machine).

I was reading something about it being a button that takes you back to the xbox dashboard and allows you to navigate.

maybe it's just the logo?
you cannot push the button within the game, it's too far away from your thumbs.

Maybe you should get some glasses, and notice the numbers actually printed on the pad?
Plus if it is some kind of pad config/ui element, then who cares where it is? The back button is hardly in your reach without a good stretch...

Dont know if anyone posted this, I cant be arsed to read them all right now. The black and white buttons are now shoulder buttons, but the triggers still remain the same.

Hmmm I don't got MTV here I got the Canadian version, Much Music, dunno if they'll have it. I'll be working anyway so I guess it's a moot point.
