Yeah I couldn't get one to come loose. It's my own fault for waiting till the day before a snowstorm but you know, procrastination and shit. So come storm day I've got these all seasons on my wheels which are extremely worn. Got winter tires a few weeks earlier but didn't have them installed because a real man installs that shit himself. I can mount a tire to a rim in about 5 minutes, so I'm taking off the front driver side wheel when I get to the godamn locknut. Which I was aware would be there but I had the key with me all set to get it done. Little did I know that apparently aluminium wheels cause them to get tighter and as per the rep at VW they're torqued to 100lbs thus making the bolts tighten way over their 100lbs spec.

Well I stripped the bolt and the key like it was nothing. VW dealership couldn't help me, at least not that day, so they sent me to an independent vw repair shop. Mechanics complained that they also wrecked 2 of their key's trying to get mine off and ultimately took my key, welded it directly to the lock nut and were able to remove it. I had them remove the other 3 as well. Fucking things are useless. Had I been in a flat tire situation in the middle of nowhere I'd have been screwed.

That said... winter tires fucking rock.

You'd need a VW for them to be any help.

So were you imagining mounting tires to a rim or imagining putting the rims on your car? Your fantasy seems to be confused.

It isn't meant to do that, they put those on there to deter thieves.

This whole thing is really strange. I don't know if Kracus has a GTI or not, maybe he does (frankly, I don't care, it's not impressive anyways). But it's obvious this thread was created just to trigger these responses and stir up more "mystery". Kracus loves the attention. And we love to bust his balls. It's a circle jerk.

I'm fascinated by this forum's social psychology...

Let's not forget that when Kracus first started lying about his car he spent multiple pages bumbling about not knowing what model of vehicle he supposedly owned.

1st it was a Rabbit, then not a Rabbit, definately not a Golf then it was VW GTI. He didn't know it was a Rabbit GTI, cos he owned a Rabbit but now it is a GTI that was the 2013 model but the 2010 one instead.
