Christ... this sport has evolved a lot since last time I looked (10+ years ago.) Pretty crazy shite
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Don't think I'd even want to go down that slope, let alone do a flip like that..
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
I'm guessing water,
or possibly huge nets these days.

Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Any idea how hard water can be when you fall into it the wrong way at relatively high velocities?Tsakali wrote:I'm guessing water
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Divers seem practice it ok

not to mention MTBs when you land on them the wrong wayEraser wrote:Any idea how hard water can be when you fall into it the wrong way at relatively high velocities?Tsakali wrote:I'm guessing water
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Sure sure, but its better than concrete or dirt. No contest. Plus the stream lined bike wont feel like a brick when it hits the water, it will actually help penetrate the surface.
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Oh come on, you can't be bigger faggots than these guys

Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Trust me, as someone who has spent part of my life as a competitive swimmer (and lots of diving), smacking into water hurts (and not even from a very great height) and could easily be fatal at higher velocities. I've seen people take bad dives from just a couple of metres and they've had to be helped out of the pool. I slipped off the starting block once and twisted my neck from the impact with the water, and was in pain for a week.

I know I get it but...

What's that ?, like 20 ft up from the ramp exit ?. Not saying it's painless or risk free but it's a good place to practice considering the alternatives and is something divers do regulary from much higher.

Re: Real life Trials Evolution
Divers start from much smaller platforms, they practice until they get it perfect and then move a bit higher. These guys do the exact same thing, they start on small ramps and move up to larger ones, no pool of water involved. I can't believe I'm explaining this, I feel like I should be Captain Obvious right now.

I had to watch 3 times to realize how da fuck he accompliced that insane jump
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
are the added wrist stoppers considered cheating? I think so.
Re: Real life Trials Evolution
No one was saying they tried it with water, only said it as a possibility that seems viable.obsidian wrote:Divers start from much smaller platforms, they practice until they get it perfect and then move a bit higher.
