only had my licence for 5 months, cost a fucking fortune in lessons then £40 to take the test.PhoeniX wrote::icon33: over here it costs 10x that
maybe in lieu of a rebate on all the money i spent, the police will let me off if i staple my girlfriends mouth shut so the bitch doesn't yammer totally bloody useless 'advice' at me while i'm driving.
They're mistaken. That's not what a driver's license costs. That's what you spend for the driving lessons, the exam and the license itself.Shmee wrote::icon20:LeonardoP wrote:....
its about a minimum of 1200E here, but on average people pay 1700-2000E per drivers license
That's insane!
The actual license costs about 30 or 40 euros
edit:
what's probably true though is that in the US you get a free driver's license with every box of breakfast cerial while in the Netherlands (and most of Europe) the driving exams are very strict.
Nonsense. Most people I know (myslef included) learned to drive from our parents, and we had free lessons in High School that we had to pass in order to get our lisences before 18. ps how hard is it to get your licence?. most people need about 30 lessons here. our examns are strict as hell, not many people make it on the first try.
