Fees are posted at the bottom, rural states are usually very cheap and easy to get a license

I got my Provisional Licence, meaning I can only drive from 5-9, I'm 16, for $10 to cover the cost of the card itself, I think it will be the same cost in August when I get my full licence

When I turned 18 I think it cost me about $20 USD or so. It was at least double of what my first one cost anyway.

only had my licence for 5 months, cost a fucking fortune in lessons then £40 to take the test.

maybe in lieu of a rebate on all the money i spent, the police will let me off if i staple my girlfriends mouth shut so the bitch doesn't yammer totally bloody useless 'advice' at me while i'm driving.

its great you get 3 tries for $15 you can try them all back to back then if you fail all 3 you can wait in line again, pay $15 and get another 3 tries.

edit: or i guess $25 dollars now, but same concept.

I don't even remember how much mine (I've had 3) have cost, but it's never been much. I do remember I failed the test the first time because I couldn't park my mom's '85 Buick :p

They're mistaken. That's not what a driver's license costs. That's what you spend for the driving lessons, the exam and the license itself.

The actual license costs about 30 or 40 euros

edit:
what's probably true though is that in the US you get a free driver's license with every box of breakfast cerial while in the Netherlands (and most of Europe) the driving exams are very strict.

Yea, in the US you pass just by starting the engine :p. Plus we have manual gears to do as well, none of this automatic crap. If you take your test over here in an auto you can only drives autos, and as 99% of us drive manuals good look finding cars.

Nonsense. Most people I know (myslef included) learned to drive from our parents, and we had free lessons in High School that we had to pass in order to get our lisences before 18. Box of cereal :icon19:

yeah its the total cost of getting a drivers licince (if you make it in 1 try, most people need 2 or 3),
we don't have driving lessons in school here n we cant drive before our 18th birthday. we cant drive in our moms car either... altho most do. im devastated :tear:

ps how hard is it to get your licence?. most people need about 30 lessons here. our examns are strict as hell, not many people make it on the first try.

What the fuck? It's $21 in Nevada and its valid for 4 years. At that point, you must renew for another $21 dollars.

right, but your average European driver is a much better and safer driver than your average "yank".
