FYI, you might be intersted in these screens 1440p 120hz+ with G-Sync. There's a 2000 post thread on OCN about it, apparently set to release in June. Hope they fix Surround G-Sync by then :D

It's the exact monitor I'm waiting for ;)

I have a Samsung now, but it's

S27A850D? I have the same, not optimal for gaming at all, I agree. I wanted 1440p though and I had them for more than two years now so I'm not complaining.

That's the one, I snagged it for $600 ( good deal at the time ), but to be honest my 1080p Samsung S27A950D is better

They are different. When I was getting my setup, I wanted 27" and I wanted 1440p. This meant 60Hz IPS.

To have the best gaming experience I could have gone with 24" 1080p 120Hz, but I don't spend all my time gaming. Most of the time I'm just surfing the web, watching movies, programming, etc. I'm really enjoying the viewing angles on IPS and while I'm itching to get rid of input lag and enjoy some FPS games, I don't want to go back to 1080p. I also listen to music and Milkdrop is really jaw-dropping at this DPI in triple-wide.

The 1440p 120Hz G-Sync screens is a natural upgrade for my setup and it's the upgrade that I envisioned since the start. Might need to upgrade my PC though, depending on Maxwell coming out with interesting 5-6GB+ high-end cards. Sorry, wallet! LOL! :D

I too am a sucker for gaming with max settings @ 100+ fps. Naturally I'm used to spending $1400+ for sli cards, before with my 580s and with my 780 ti's.

The upgrade I most recently did to my rig was just getting the corsair H80i cpu water cooler, managed to get a stable 4.8ghz out of my 3820

In time, just waiting for the asus monitor. I currently run 2 monitors, but it may be hard to justify to the wife that I spent $2100 for 3 monitors just so I can really disappear into my games and ignore all house responsibilities :olo:

lol, I guess GKY overloaded after this happened.

Synopsis: Ubisoft released a trailer that looks graphically half as impressive as all the previously released material, community up in arms, Ubisoft responded by saying "yeeeeaahhhhh okaayyy, still wanna be friends?" and now everyone's angry at Ubisoft for continually showing a game that doesn't look like the final game at all.

Here's the trailer in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGZ1fwKcEmc

This is the first time I've heard the term bullshot. Won't it be a moot point for the PC players, though? I can see this being an issue for consolers, but fuck 'em.

I doubt Ubisoft will actually put any effort into the PC release at this point. Status quo is good enough for the console tards and we'll get yet another sloppy port.

Nah man, the practice of bullshots is being done since the original Xbox days. It's done for PC games as well sometimes.
It's a term coined by the Penny Arcade guys by the way.

Oh, I was fully aware it was being done, I just didn't know it had a name.

I remember the controversy around the Unreal2 bullshots, where they added reflective water and softshadows with Photoshop.
Back then those features were but a pipedream.

Any chance the released footage was from a console and we elitist PC gamers get a shinier version?

Not got sound at work, all i see in that vid is an aggitated fat nerd.
