Season 2 is up on Netflix... watched it yesterday. Going to have to watch it again to catch all the subtleties but it is really good. I think the first season was better, but there is a lot going on in the second season.
First episode is a kick in the chest Third to last episode had the weirdest scene I've ever witnessed... "what the FUUUUUCK IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!!" were my exact words, i believe.
I'm 7 episodes into season 2 and so far I'm enjoying it. It will be interesting to see if the series follows Underwood to becoming President, because I'm not sure what they can do after that.

Ugh, worked at a florist all day on Valentine's Day and have been in Philadelphia since yesterday afternoon. Just watched the first season of HOC last month and completely loved it. Gotta wait till Monday to start season 2.
Kevin Spacey is perfect for that role. I tried to think of who else would have worked and the only person I came up with is Aaron Eckhart.
Also there will be four seasons. Each one has been 13 episodes so far so 4 seasons is a full deck. Also plenty of time for him to shape himself as the prez while trying to tie up the loose ends before it all comes crashing down.

heh, just watched that scene 10 seconds ago and paused it to come back and reply
thought it was pretty cool, and made a lot of sense.
It's only weird if you weren't looking for the signs. They foreshadowed it multiple times with Frank getting caught on the computer and the couple lamenting about how they couldn't trust any new partners because it was too risky in their new position as Mr. and Mrs. VP
