Is gib pronounced "gib" or "jib"?

It's short for "giblets" (jiblets), so it's jib.

If it was spelled with a J in the console command the it would be Jib, but it's not.

It is spelled with a G.

Gib

coz it sounds better. Pronounce it bib if you want, there's no rules to accents and colloquialisms. Well there is in a way, but you know what I mean.

nope, not what it said at all.

it says that giblets (jiblets) are part of a bird, which are apparently pronounced both ways. but i've never heard of a fowl's viscera pronounced with a hard 'g' have you?

Is "Celtic" pronounced "Keltic", or "Seltic"? In truth, it can be pronounced either way, and both will forever be used.

Its Keltic (as in KELL) if you are talking about the race, or areas of Scotland/Ireland they lived in.
Its Celtic (as in CELL) if you are talking about the soccer team.

ive heard them say jib in interviews before, but i still call it gib. always will, its how its spelt. pretty much everyone i play wolf/ET with says Gib, I mighta heard one or two people say jib and they just get laughed at.
then again, i know its id software, but ill always call them eye-dee because it sounds better...

THE OFFICIAL ANSWER ON THIS QUESTION 5 EFFING YEARS AGO FROM ID SOFTWARE WAS "JIB".
