Yeah, thats a much better response than looking up some reliable information to back your claim. If MSI makes such shit boards said info should be easy to find.
Google MSI MOTHERBOARD DOA
or
MSI MOTHERBOARD BROKE!

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

I asked for proof which you haven't been able to provide, not whiny forum dwellers scattered across the 'Net.

Any company has defective products now and again, welcome to the wonderful world of computer components.

Any fan will do. The heatsink works quite well even with low airflow, thanks to those heatpipes and a huge amount of surface area. I'm sure that one will be fine, though I'd get something else eventually.

Well it arrived. I hadn't thought about my power supply not being strong enough let alone not having a 24-pin connector so I had to get the Antec Neo 480 from Best Buy (fucking wicked power supply btw). Also ended up getting an X700XL Pro from Best Buy to use while I wait for the next batch of nvidia cards (and more $$).

I didn't realize that HSF was going to be so large! I about shit my pants when I pulled that fucker out of the box...Seems to be working pretty well tho (just got done with a game of Doom3 and its reading 38C CPU and 35C system).

My only complaint about MSI is that they need to fucking learn english. "Due to several pins are very sensitive to ESD, so this kind of memory-replacement actions might cause system chipset unable to boot."

So far I'm pretty impressed but not blown away. I can run Doom3 on Ultra but the framerate doesn't appear to be worth bragging about. What I really need is a 10k RPM SATA2 drive and some SLI cards

Yes, because hard drives rarely get close to ATA100's limits.

:p

Glad it works, though. I told you that HSF had a ton of surface area!

Well I know you will be very pleased with your Thermalright XP-90, I've used Thermalrights and love them.
Altho does anyone know why they are going with a more aluminum design?

cheaper? rising costs of copper? Not a big market? CPU manufactures are compensating for heat of there cpu's with larger HSF's?

pick one.

Then why do benchmarks clearly show the Raptor owning everything else? And SATA2 provides support for command queueing. Thus why I want to combine both :D.
