Got my wife an iPad

Post by YourGrandpa »

The wife mentioned that she would like a tablet to replace the laptop that my son has recently commandeered. She wasn't opposed to getting a Microsoft or Android based tablet. But after playing with a few and considering she has an iPhone and iPod touch, she decided on the iPad. So for Christmas I got the wife a Gen 4, 16GB iPad. After further thought I was wondering if I made the right choice. She doesn't plan to do much of anything but surf the web and Facebook. Should I take the 16GB version back for something more or do you think it will suffice?

Huh? I'm asking if the 16GB version is good enough or should I get the 32/64.

what a stupid question. you just told us she's planning to do nothing but surfing and fagsbook, so unless she's planning on installing a fuckload of apps or watching movies (neither of which you mentioned) 16GB should be plenty

I was asking for advice, not telling a seemingly pointless story for no reason.

Do you own and iPad?

That's what I thought too. I was wondering if anyone with first hand experience thought differently.

Gramps, you can google a review of any product you can imagine. And there's usually more than one review so you can get a better idea if the product is what you need and worth the money. There's also tonnes of reviews on YouTube and you can see the product in-action.

It's called "1 minute of your time".

Much in the same way that Whiskey 7 was telling a seemingly pointless story for no reason when he specifically asked for advice on the viability of a variant capacitor for his project.

No, don't own an iPad. The only thing "i" I've owned was stolen years ago when some jack-off smashed into my car and after that I decided that I didn't give a fuck. My phone has hours of music, a big enough screen (don't use fb, just read news and other articles), and wifi, so I don't see a need to buy iAnything.

Nice

I would think 16Gb would be enough but I don't own a iPad and yet I too am considering buying one for my other half :D so I will continue to monitor this seemingly pointless story :olo:

Whiskey asked a specific question and got an answer. (I asked for an opinion) Then continued with some other story about how much things cost and when things were scheduled. Sorry I lost interest.

Too bad about your iLuck. Maybe some day things will turn around for you.

So you don't have an opinion then?

She'll need a 64GB iPad for sure. How else is she going to get all of the internet on her iPad? That's got to be at least, what... 40GB?

You should swap the iPad for an upgraded broom so that she can travel faster.
