a friend of mine is going to be producing 2 albums (in the process of recording the tracks ATM)... so i'm inquiring about to see what the best audio mixing software is.
we need something that would pretty much qualify as a software version of a studio sound board.
Acid and soundforge are about all i've delt with personally.
but i was wondering if there is some "total package professional software" i should tell him to look into.
yeah, so far cubase definately looks like the winner... know for sure once we test drive some trials which one actually deserves financial contribution.

an M-Audio firewire 410 + pro tools should work out nicely.
the 410 would double as a good replacement for the junky 4-Track he's been recording on.
