A lot of famous people are cokeheads, Kracus was a cokehead, people with things in common are more likely to cross paths, etc.

ok i'll bite. answer me two questions: 1) why would emilio estevez use his own name as a Q3A handle? 2) how did he prove he was the real emilio estevez?

Joe Rogan was a HUGE RA3 freak, IIRC. That came to light (here at least) during the whole "LOL Viruseater is a fraudulent, faggot, rip-off artist" scandal. Not too hard to believe that you may have actually played against him.

After all, I was playing Halo 4 against Jenna Jameson and Steven Segal just this morning. ;)

Of all the people to ask me, you must be growing senile.

No shit, I did a web search for an interview I'd read of his and I found THIS which is quoted by YOU on this very forum.
DarkViper has sent me some interesting news about Emilio Estevez playing Quake III Arena. Here's the blurb from Dailydemo.com:

Have you played Quake 3 alot and maybe have come by the name of a player called Emilio Estevez. Well as much as you may think it's some wannabe, it's actually Emilio himself. Word has it that he enjoys playing Quake 3 online with other people because he enjoys the game so much.

"The sad part is, I can and have played online under my real name and people usually just make fun of me," Estevez was quoted by Hypothermia.com. "Being a famous actor, it's not like you can hang out in the mall playing videogames. It's hard to get out and around anywhere without being mobbed. Online gaming foots the bill for a little anonymous action online. I play a handful of PlayStation games too."

"I am a big computer NERD, but a bigger family man. I'm pretty good at Quake III Arena."

Who knows, Emilio may not be the only actor that you've had a battle with in Quake 3 arena so maybe next time maybe pay attention to a name more seriously.
[/quote]

After I'd read about him I ran into him on a RA server so I asked him. I didn't have any proof but it wasn't well known that it was actually him. I even recalled playing against him previously simply because I thought his nickname was hilarious. Who would call themselves emelioesteves in a game? Turns out Emelio Esteves would.

if i quoted this it must have been fucking ages ago, and if you think i keep track of every post i and everyone else has ever made since 1999 you must be confusing me with shaft

also, did you even read the quote properly?

>gives self Q3A handle 'emilioesteves'
>says playing online gives him "anonymous action"

Only someone as arrogantly delusional as Kracus would be so illogically gullible as to believe that he was actually playing Emilio Estevez instead of someone just using that nick.

That one movie where that guy said "Sitting here, doing nothing but pissing in the wind. If you're female, feel free to message me and lift me from the dreary confines of my tiny little mind. Take me somewhere I haven't been. Take me to happiness. I'm looking for companionship, friendship, a partner for life. Here's hoping the great WWW succeeds where "real" life has failed me so many times... But then, how do you define "real"? As a poet once said, "The only thing perfect in this world is Love.." ?

never seen it, but have since realised I did Mr Estevez a disservice by not mentioning Stakeout, which is an excellent movie
