So then, it's not incorrect.

It's alternative because it's another example of the American bastardization of the English language.LawL wrote:It's an alternative form of spelling the same word, which in no way makes it incorrect.
I'm never wrong.

Might as well say 'then' is an alternative form of 'than' because so many people seem to think so.

I guess coffee is an acquired taste. Same with wine.EtUL wrote:As someone who adores coffee I can still agree that for most cups, it smells better than it tastes. There's also a lot of bad coffee...if you have a friend who is really into it you should try it again to make sure you get something good.Eraser wrote:Sorry. Not much of a coffee lover here either. Just like Donny, I do like the smell but the taste of it is just awful.
I'm not a complete snob but I would say any coffee outside of a shop is generally shit, and even the coffee shops can mess up. Too thick of a grain/not enough time makes weak cups, too fine a grain or too much time makes a bitter unpleasant drink. It takes a bit of work to get it right.
That said I don't care for most fish, though I'm trying. I've been spending the last 5 years or so trying to expand my tastes, which I came to realize is exactly what my parents eat. I never had a steak anything below well done before I left the house...

The spelling accidently is not an illiteracy, but it is much less frequent than accidentally, and even though it has some reputable use, it may be thought a misspelling.
