Amazing death metal drumming

Post by DRuM »

An inter-drummer friend just recorded this song. I couldn't play this shit in a million years mostly because I don't play double bass drum and also it's not my kind of music, BUT, it's heavy duty playing. :icon14: Check out the bass drum at 1:05. 300bpm apparently. :icon20: And you gotta lol at the growling.

The mp3 link 'maggot' is just under his second photo.

Why do death metal bands insist on ruining songs with that awful singing? The actual guitar/bass/drums behind most death metal is actually really good.

I made a thread on that drum forum that ended up about 10 pages long, asking them to explain death metal to me. What I was really saying to them was, why do the 'singers' sound like professional vomiters.

I agree with everyone, the music in the background sounds great...but I wouldn't be caught listening to some guy that sounds like he just smoked 95 packs of cigs in 2 hours.

rofl. It wouldn't be so bad if it was 'decent' shoutiing, like a lot of system of a down stuff.

or American Head Charge or Slayer or Pantera or something

it seems like death metal singers are coming at a dime a [bakers] dozen nowadays

but yeah being able to play like that most of the time is awesome....restecp

I would say the reason they sound like that, is because it fits the lyrics.

Geoff the clueless expert at everything will now hand us on a short note how much Dave Lombardo sucks at drumming.

Cue in the infamous and tedious "fuck u.."-comment.

as far as death metal goes...dave lambardo can't keep up...whats so hard to understand kid? he can't play as fast and mix it up as well as 10-20 death metal drummers i know of...dl is good but he was surpased in speed and technical skills long ago...

any questions no0bs?
