Looks like an interesting article; I'll have to read it when I get home. :icon25:

I have no influence on the election results myself, but it would be interesting to see what politicians say now, and compare it to what they say when elected.

Also, I could see myself moving to Europe, or collaborating with colleagues from the UK, so it's good to see what issues are on the table there.
Thanks for the link. :icon14:

Impressive, massive quasars - the canadian - almost managed to go a whole minute without posting something about Britain or Europe.

Why don't you just move here and shut the fuck up?

An independent is going to landslide it in my borough.
Well here in Northern Ireland its either Sinn Fein, DUP, SDLP or UUP.
But after the closure of the ONLY HOSPITAL in my county*, and none of the usual fuckers stopped it, a doctor from the hospital in question is running as an independant on trying to turn back the decision. The rest are fucking running about like headless chickens trying to make him look bad.

* A little history on my area. The protestants have been trying to strip the west of NI for decades now of its economic value, seeing as the majority of catholics live there. First they gerrymandered the electoral boundaries to insure that they had election majority.
Then they stopped all trains to the west, it isnt a coincidence that its just the protestant strongholds that still have trains running today.
Then they stopped the bypasses and motorways which they still do try to prevent. The M1 (NIs main motorway) was meant to go deep into the heartland of the west. Instead it fucking ended at the outskirts and still they wont extend it where its badly needed.
Nowadays its two things. The first is closing down the hospitals, moving the only one that services a majority of catholics thats at most 20 minutes away, to one at least 45 minutes away. A lot of people are going to die soon because of the longer drive.
The second is the removal of some town councils, funny enough mostly removing the catholic dominated ones in the west and merging them with protestant dominated ones in the surrounding areas. The shit is going to hit the fans this time next year if this happens.

Went away for a few hours. Odd happenings since then.

From what I gather, I should talk more about all things British and revel in the religious fued that turned NI into shit and kept it that way.
