RTCW and Gtk

Post by spryx »

I have tried to setup every version of GTK with RTCW. It seems that I am always missing a texture or shader. Has anyone has any luck with GtkRadiant 1.5 or 1.6?

I really would like to use these versions for single player map building. It seems that versions <1.4 do not work well with win 7.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you downloaded and installed a game pack for RTCW/ET?

I have, but several shaders remain missing.

Models also seem to be missing shaders.

Care to elaborate on which ones specifically?

I have included a log file of the textures and shaders which do not load correctly (sorry for the size)

It seems that either the Wolf Pack is missing textures, or that shaderlist has incorrect entries.

Are you sure you installed the game pack? You should see stuff like a common.pk3, models, shaders and other files installed. Check your shaderlist.txt and make sure all the missing shaders are listed.

Also check your project file and make sure that it is indeed pointing to RTCW and not some other game like Quake 3 (which I believe is the default).

Got it working (kind of). Some textures and shaders are still missing. The wolfpack installs to the default rtcw directory, not the goty edition. I had to move the folder.

Oddly enough, The only way I could get the textures and shaders completely working is to use the old Wolf Radiant (which crashes often).
