Revolution
Anyone watching this? The acting isn't award winning, but I'll watch anything J.J. Abrams is involved in. It has that mystical "Lost" feel. We'll see how this first season pans out...
Re: Revolution
It's fucking retarded. The entire world's power goes out permanently and is beyond repair, but people can still run computers and shit as long as they have some magic pendant?
Re: Revolution
Yeah, Lost was believable too...

Re: Revolution
So far I don't really care for it. It's not doing anything to get my interest at all. I don't give a shit about any of the characters and if anything I dislike them. Lots of stuff doesn't really make sense. I'm interested to see more about what happened and what is going on, but only barely.
The comment about "physics stopped working" (from apparently one of the officers at Google no less) made me laugh so hard. If the physics behind electronics stopped working, your fucking iPhone is the last of your worries as a blob of sub-atomic particles.

Re: Revolution
Commercials looked ungodly stupid, first reaction was "LOL, fuck that noise". Glad to see it appears to have been well-founded.
Re: Revolution
fuck the pendant. the electro-magnetic force is fundamental. if no one can make a generator then the earth no longer has a magnetic field, nerves don't work, there's no ionic bonding so salt doesn't exist, etc etc etc.Psyche911 wrote:It's fucking retarded. JJ doesn't let fact checkers run his show.

Science isn't exactly a core strength among the general American public so I think JJ can get away with quite a lot of shit.
If I were to create a TV series, I would base it on a society that has somehow forgotten about science completely and instead fallen to superstition. It will feature clueless politicians and pundits promoting policies that lead to the general crumbling of a once great society. Oh wait... that sounds like Fox News.
