And yet the latest Gallop poll (which was done nationally across the US, not just in a few states) shows Obama having a ONE POINT LEAD against Romney. One point difference, nationally, on who the Americans would vote for if the election were held today. Another poll showed a five point difference...that's it.

Talk all you want about "reasonable people" living in America and how the "fanatics on the far right-or-left wing edge" are the ones who aren't reasonable, but numbers don't lie: yanks are a greedy bunch that only care about themselves and, of course, they all still believe in the ridiculous notion of "the American Dream" and that one day they'll be as rich as Mitt Romney, so they don't want to rock the boat for rich people. They are an entire country of selfish, short-sighted morons who are happy with their iPhones and cheap gas. Idiots.

When you take all the evidence of how horrible a human being Mitt Romney is and the fact that there is still almost half a country willing to vote for him, that indicates to me a country undeserving of respect from any "reasonable people" who would rather solve the world's problems instead of making money off of them. Serioulsy...Mitt Romney even said that he'd hope for "a major crisis" so that he can "take full political advantage of it" which to my ears was exactly how the Neo-cons approached the events of 9/11: instead of tending to the dead and injured and comforting a country that suffered a huge wound...they plotted schemes.

What a sick country.

The problem is that the proof only reaches those who already know it. Are hardcore republicans going to read articles that outline Romney's corporate evil doings? No way. Will those people even watch the Daily Show? I think not. Will they be confronted with their own hypocracies through an episode of South Park? Doubtful.

Nope, they'd rather zap back and forth between Fox News and Jersey Shore. Jon Stewart is absolutely terrific at what he does, but he's preaching for his own choir. I think that's a problem in getting exposure for a non-republican view. And what little truth does reach them will be dismissed as propaganda or lies, fuelled by types like Bill O'Reilly.

No doubt. But my point is thus: if half your population ate babies, I'd be safe in determining that your country was a country full of baby-eaters.

When I first moved to Montreal back in 2008, the very first day I arrived the newspaper headline of one of the english-language newspapers said,"WE'RE NOT RACISTS!" and then the article went into detail that, during that particular poll, 51% of the Quebec frenchies DIDN'T hate (that's the word they used..."hate") the english, all while gleefully ignoring that 49% of a province admitted to "hating" the english.

Take that ratio in any direction you want with a whopping 2 point spread, but I think any reasonable person can claim with confidence that when half of Quebec's population admits to being racist that Quebec is indeed a racist province...much in the same way that Mississippi is a racist State compared to Minnesota...not everyone is racist, but a HUGE percentage is. Taking that same logic, any reasonable person can claim with confidence that the US is indeed a selfish country when nearly half of them are selfishly ready to vote for Romney.

I honestly don't feel that I'm stretching my conclusion it in any way.
