iPhone 5
Re: iPhone 5
and that faster network, won't mean much since you can't get unlimited data. It's like a "good news, bad news" situation.
and not to mention that your location needs to support LTE?
yeah sprint here, STILL doesn't have 4G even though I tell all my bitches that I have a 4G phone for the last 3 years. lul.

While you're right, Tsakali, they are doing just fine. People drool over every incremental update and purchase them in droves. I'd milk that cow too.

What compels you to upgrade your pc's ever few years? omg the spec sheet on this faster cpu and gfx is really underwhelming! i wish it came in pink..derp.
And if you upgrade your PC every few years you'll essentially double the performance of your old machine. Apple is offering incremental performance improvements...sorta like asking you to buy a new video card to get 7 FPS more...which any rational person would tell you is immensely retarded.
I don't know anyone who buys a phone every year. Every couple years when I renew my contract is good enough and yeah its just as incremental as a pc upgrade. You know they have ways to measuring how much faster the new one is compared to the old. When they say the A6 chip is 2X faster than the A5 they're not pulling that out of their ass. Plus I have the A4, pretty sure im going to be essentially doubling the performance in 2yrs.

so bandwidth doesn't mean shit if you have a cap? i didn't know my 4gb cap would prevent me from enjoying faster pages loads or email downloads. Guess we should all go back to Edge so we can actually take notice and enjoy waiting for those things. please stop talking now.

the iPhone 5 is four times faster than the iPhone 4. even better than the PC market it seems.GONNAFISTYA wrote:Every few years is not every year or every few months.shaft wrote:not sure what people were expecting? its faster, updated with new network tech and a bigger screen. Wow. Ok. Makes sense if you do alot with it other than just text or phone calls.Big Kahuna Burger wrote:the iPhone 5 is four times faster than the iPhone 4. even better than the PC market it seems.
But you're sheep if you do it because you think you must.
Re: iPhone 5
To be entirely honest, for most things people do with a smart phone, a decent 3G connection is fast enough. Not disputing your point here, but I do feel that 4G is overrated, especially if you, like me, have access to WiFi most of the time anyway. And it certainly is if it comes at the cost of not being able to have IP traffic while having an active phone callshaft wrote:

Yet you still can't make a simple phone call while downloading bytes at wire scorching speedsbitWISE wrote:Verizon LTE is faster than WiFi in many cases.Eraser wrote: To be entirely honest, for most things people do with a smart phone, a decent 3G connection is fast enough. Not perturbed at all. I was saying old because I've known that since getting the iPad3 at launch. Calm down, Randy.shaft wrote:I dunno you seem perturbed bkb backed up bitwise's claim. Maybe a nice set of EarPods directing soothing music into your ears would calm you?
