there's as many different types of 'bent as there are DFs. the one i own (pic above) is purely for touring; performance-wise it's pretty mediocre (too heavy - my top speed is about 38mph, downhill), but for something like the oxford-cambridge ride it's ideal. on the other hand, a decent low-racer would cream any DF on the flat, assuming equally fit ridersDoombrain wrote:nope, just not sure about the centre of balance. To me they don't look that safe.
Whats it like in traffic with being so low? There's a few knocking about in the chilterns, can't say i've ever been pasted by one.
as for balance, that's only an issue at very low speeds (i.e. sub-5mph), and i only use mine out on the open road so i have no experience of traffic. however the rider is about the same height as a driver, and the bike is a lot more noticeable due to drivers not knowing what the fuck it is. drivers give me a much wider berth when i'm out on my bent than they do on a DF
sounds wank. do not wantThe cycle show, itv3 or 4. terrible london wanker based show about coffee drinking cunts with black rimmed glasses with no lenses in.
