I was hoping for a decent FPS game, anyone got any recommendations for the xbox?

Counter Strike Go
Anyone play this yet? I decided to try it out on the xbox 360 and ummm it seriously plays like shit.
The lag is horrendous.

that one new 3rd person shooter is actually pretty good and a nice innovative twist on the teambased shooting genre. both in gameplay and in persistent overworld domination thingy.
eh.. hybrid i think its called.

That's a bummer, I saw an ad for it last night though as I was browsing for games. I settled on CS GO but I took peek at it cause I thought it might be a space sim of somekind. So it's out and they're selling... Wonder if they got those problems fixed.

Yeah, looking at the game more and more it looks like it could be a lot of fun. I think I may get this instead of CS GO, too bad though, hopefully this isn't as laggy as CS was.
Re: Counter Strike Go
So I tried Hybrid... I'm not sure if I like it or not, it's neat but I feel like it'll get old fast. Frankly the free doritos platform game is was more fun :/

Re: Counter Strike Go
Bought this last night for the PC since I forgot how to get into my old steam account and figured I might as well pick this up.
Having a ton of fun. I suck ass at the game but it's fun to get people worked up in 'casual' mode.

I wish the xbox version would run well, I quite liked it against bots but I'm unwilling to buy it the way it is now the lag is just too much.

Re: Counter Strike Go
I dunno what it is but something about the hitboxes are off or something. I'll have a few rounds where I'll get easy/lucky headshots firing into a person's torso and others where bullets go right through a person.
One thing I've noticed consistently is that in every one on one fight I've been in the opponent always survives with about 10 health left. Though this is probably because I just suck but it doesn't seem to matter who it is. It's pretty damn frustrating.
On that note, it's interesting and amusing to see the try-hards in the casual dust servers. I've been playing on the casual servers since I'm a baddie (never really played CS to begin with. I'm pretty much the definition of noob with this game) and there's people in there playing as if it were qualifiers or something.
And I've yet to find anybody, when it boils down to a 1v1 round that'll be a good sport and dick around with finishing things off by knife.
Speaking of knife, I did manage to get some nice knife kills in pistol rounds after flanking some people. It feels weird not lunging forward while knifing but the knife kills you do get feel pretty damn satisfying.
Lastly, the fuck is up with the AWP? What a game killer that thing is, man. Don't get me wrong, I can use the thing, I'm not upset because I suck with it. It's just annoying getting a random shotgun to the face around a corner or something and sitting for 3 minutes watching two AWPers sitting at either end of the map until the time runs out. Boring as crap and slows things down so much.
And why wouldn't Valve add in a Deathmatch mode along with arms race? The biggest thing that bothers me about CS is death. You spend the majority of the time watching others play since, if you're new, you're going to suck. And, if you suck, you will die a lot. How are you supposed to get better from practice if you're just dead constantly? Hmm. It baffles me why people enjoy that and why S&D is such a popular gametype in Call of Duty. I want constant action. If I fuck up I want to get back into the game immediately. Let the stats be my penalty. Not sitting on my ass watching an AWPer stare at a fucking wall for 3 minutes.

1v1 situations with two campers involved has been an annoyance with CS ever since it was a beta mod for HL1.
