Pussy Riot
No one's talking about this? I figured the band's name alone would be worth a topic.

Fuck Putin, btw.

Re: Pussy Riot
Women engaging in politics, always going to end in disaster. Glad Russia knows the score though, silly bitches being greedy, see what they think of their privileges on the outside after being forced to wear a tampon made of hay once a month for 3 years

Hey Captain Caveman, WTF is wrong with you? It's 2012, FFS, Russian female prisoners are forced to wear tampons made of yak hair now.losCHUNK wrote:Women engaging in politics, always going to end in disaster. I caught a few minutes of news and spent about 2 seconds of reading, from what I can tell these bitches were just trolling and after they found a bit of publicity (through Madonna) they decided they didn't like Putin, which is all fair enough but I still don't know why, so even after 3 of the bitches went to prison for 3 years, the only thing they have achieved is raising awareness of pussies, riots and Putin, which were all pretty famous already

Re: Pussy Riot
that would be a fair summary of the story if we assume that the story went through some kind of crazy-wired improbability matrix made of glue, coat-hangers and crack before entering your brain
p.s. don't bother with the wikipedia article about this; it's biased as fuck

Re: Pussy Riot
Those bolsheviks are now targeting Madonna:
http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/08/19/mad ... ting-gays/Some Russian activists have sued Madonna for millions of dollars, claiming they were offended by her support for gay rights during a recent concert in St. Petersburg.
Anti-gay sentiment is strong in Russia. In St. Petersburg, a law passed in February makes it illegal to promote homosexuality to minors, and the author of that law has pointed to the presence of children as young as 12 at Madonna’s concert on Aug. 9.
Russian news agencies quote Alexander Pochuyev, a lawyer representing the nine activists, as saying the suit was filed Friday against Madonna, the organizer of her concert, and the hall where it was held, asking for damages totaling 333 million rubles, or nearly $10.5 million.
Re: Pussy Riot
if only we didn't jail people for denying the holocaust, offending muslims or causing butthurt on twitter - our outrage at russian backwardness would be powerful indeed
Re: Pussy Riot
Just because *some* governments do that doesn't mean I agree with it, so my outrage is not hypocritical at all.

Re: Pussy Riot
The thread title still looks like "pussy rot" at first glance. Reminds me of that time with all your mums at a chicken farm.
Re: Pussy Riot
by which you mean all those bodies under your patio
