olympics

Post by plained »

i wanted to ask how the olympics are looking on ur tv's

here it is really annoying because its overly compressed needlessly!

commercials are dead fucking clear tho :olo:

i record over the air tv using a netbook with a little piece of hardware that records the actual stream so if i do record it will look exactly like the broadcast (huge files but so what)

i bet those who record useing tivo type things the files will be totally shitted up, i assume that is thier goal?

its really a shame because its the one of the best kinds of art watching these athletes especially in the super slo-mo, the compression just fucking kills the joy tho.

the water is just macroblocken :grrr:

i dont really watch it but i wanted to show it and explain it to my kids.

so anyways, is it compressed tto much where you are ?

Time has not been kind to the Olympic games. There are some events that are pretty cool, but more often than not they're pretty boring and some are just head-scratching-induced-"Really?!?" 's.

Is adding trampolining to the Olympics considered jumping the shark yet?
