Hotmail relaunching as Outlook.com

If you have a hotmail/live account you can pull up their new and so far vastly improved interface (lol copy google much?). But the service is so brand new you can lock in some good new addresses too. I was able to get my name for the first time ever.

Back 1000 years ago when I had a Hotmail account, I got 6 spam emails sent to me within the first minute of my activating the account and I'd get about 20 spam emails a day. AFAIK, Hotmail accounts are huge targets for spam/crap, while both of my Yahoo accounts get about 10 pieces of spam per week (combined on both accounts).

Hotmail can blow me.

My primary personal email account has been hotmail ever since I moved over from hotbot back in like 2000. I have my inbox set to exclusive (contact list and approved senders only) and then filter through my junk folder a few times a day. I usually get about 25 per day.

Protip: Go into

Options > Managing your account > Create a Outlook alias

to do this, no need to create a new account

I even tried MRfeta and that was taken... seriously?!

Nice. I was able to just register my name, first and last. No more numbers or random letters or periods. interface is very sleek, I just composed a message and it's pretty cool, no blocky text fields

only thing i ever use my hotmail for is msn and xbl.
gmail is my main spam account
