i'm unfamiliar with the oeuvre of this particular beat combo, but either that's the most pretentious pile of wank i've ever seen, or the OP just got trolled, or both

Hmmm I don't it will be too dub influenced. More for the trailer I think (hope)

LOL, I was looking forward to the dubstep when I first started listening to it. And then it happened.

I'm glad I forgot to install the herp derp extension, the comments on that video were hilariously retarded.

I like how the video features people playing guitars and acoustic drums, but with dubstep blaring over the top of it, as if there's some kind of connection.
This line only remake is total rubbish I've ever seen!!! Fuck off!!! --CZghost

To be honest it does sound like the sounds you hear are all made with a guitar (and a stack of electronics).

Muse has a history of making use of a lot of genres in their music, but I sincerely hope this one is a joke.

It doesn't seem like it though, does it?

Maybe it's just one fragment from one song and they're using that to get the whole interwebs abuzz with talk of "omg Muse has gone dubstep". Perfect way to start a viral promotion of your new album.

I've always liked the stuff Muse has done and I'm sure they'll continue to please. So I don't think we'll get an album that's full with stuff like this.

First single of their new album ("2nd Law") is called Madness. It's not quite dubstep, but it's quite different from previous Muse songs. I absolutely do like it in all its quirkiness though. The bit where the whole song just blows open is great.

I like.
Not many bands are willing or able to evolve their style.
I applaud Muse for doing so and succeeding

Yeah that's what I dislike most about the Muse-hate you get a lot these days. People say that the only good stuff they put out was Origin of Symmetry. If after all this time you still cling to your hopes of Muse releasing another Origin of Symmetry then you should wake up. There's a Muse thread running through all of their albums (each one is clearly identifiable through a specific Muse sound that's present on all of them) but their music does evolve, and I like that better than bands that just keep regurgitating the same trick over and over again.

Distorted bass synths doesn't make something dubstep. Both vids sound awful to me though.

Great track, at first I found it a bit awkward, but it grows on you. And I get a distinct Queen vibe from it? It's not hard to imagine this is how they would've sounded if Freddy was still around.

By the way, this is the full version of that weird dubstep teaser thing they released. I reckon it's a sort of intro for the album, pretty cool IMO.

Just listen to the Hot Space and The Works album, and tell me it isn't true.
