Mapping competition #4 is aborted?

I've received information about mapping competition it starts on 2nd April 2012, but now it's 3rd and there's only #3 (Summer 2011)...
Are you sure, the competition started yesterday?

Now, if we're on competition topic, have I pay any fee to join? If the answer is "yes", then the trouble is in price: If it's leveled trought $100, there's problem with payment - we haven't enough money to pay (we pay in CZK, $1 is about 20 CZK - $100 = 2,000 CZK)...

So, what I need to register to the competition and what I should wait for? What requirements may be fulfilled and what I should keep in mind?

2nd April is still winter, last two was in summer. Better, It will start sooner and I still have enough time to ready up.

Ok, so the competition is for Q3 once again so I'm sure you will be happy with that.

Requirements:

-TDM and CTF modes
-at least 8 jump pads
-animated skybox
-custom textures for everything (this is important!)
-new weapon sounds
-a new character skin is a bonus
-billboards on the map for dynamic ads (this is how the site is able to pay its bills)
-some sort of danger in the map, like for example a huge chasm in the middle so if you walk too close to it, giant tentacles grab you and pull you into the darkness

I think that's pretty much it. I hear the grand prizes for this competition are INSANE and I think you have a good chance to win! Good luck!

Thank you. One question: The animated skybox is meant with cloud layer(s)? Because the animated skybox itself is impossible in Quake 3.

Yes, cloud layers. It gives an illusion of movement. I should've clarified, sorry!

It's OK... Common-Spog textures are allowed I think (caulk, trigger etc). The 8 jumppads... Hmm, looks like the map may have minimal size of medium. New weapon sounds may be the joke? Billboards are evident... Some dangerous in map? Good idea... Custom textures for everything are ever evident... TDM and CTF modes. Somebody makes tourney maps... CTF is OK, it's my mod... Custom character skin is also joke?

Last competition required PayPal account (costs it something?) for money prize.
Is it possible to join without PP account? If you haven't PayPal, then you won't win money

Those are the rules, I don't actually make maps for Q3 anymore so I don't really know how far the tools have come.

You might not need Paypal, but it all depends on the grand prize. Again, this competition hasn't even been announced yet so you have a huge advantage. I can't say anything beyond that.
