Iron Sky. You gonna LOVE this shit

Post by Eraser »

Someone (phantasmogonorrhea I think?) posted about this twice before I think, but there's a full trailer available now and it features...... a Sarah Palin as president of the United States :olo:

But! It is bloody awesome.

The budget for this flick is a mere 7,5 million. For comparison: Independence Day had a budget of 75 million USD and James Cameron's Avatar had a budget of nearly 240 million USD.

If independents can create something that looks this awesome for 7,5 million, then what the fuck is James Cameron doing wrong if he spends 240 million and still comes up with a turd of a movie.

"The world is sick and we are the doctors"

CGI looks just as good, but the script doesn't sound any less cringe-worthy than something by Camspielbay. I think this is going to end up equally bad but on a much better budget.

Possibly. On the other hand, the whole plot is so convoluted and the tone of the movie comes across in a rather tongue in cheek way that it looks like it isn't taking itself too seriously. That means really corny one liners could actually fit well.

I met Udo Kier in Copenhagen. In person, he looks like he just crawled out of a ditch....I can see why he does (really bad) horror films.

Nothing about the token black tough guy saying "Y'ALL BE TRIPPIN'"? That's straight out of the Michael Bay handbook of shitty movie cliches.

In all fairness he does create new technologies for these guys to use after the fact...

Thanks for the trailer Eraser

I'll probably pay to see it on the big screen.

Did I spot a Kylie Minogue in there ?

I found that trailer quite funny, but I don't want to watch a whole film of that. Then again, I thought Austin Powers was a lame film until I actually watched it. (Same sort of stupid comedy?)
