I little RTCW help please

Post by Cool Blue »

I'm on part 4, where you first meet the freaky deaky no legs electro nuts dudes. I've found the U boat pen and now I'm supposed to get some info on buddy or someshit. I appear to be stuck at the U-boat pen staring at some prick behind bulletproof glass across U-boat pen. I can't the door I believe gives me access to him. I've run through the whole level a couple times now and can't find anything I"m missing.

Google is useless on this one.

go to the sub pen, up on the bridge/second level where it crosses over the water, you can jump down onto a different section on the same side you came from, jumping off is the only way to reach it, there is a door (possibly something blown up there, cant remember) follow it to the top and thats the end of the level.

If you think you're stuck now, wait 'till the end of the level :)

Bugger me, I never knew that. Hmm, need to try RTCW out again with my new rig. Wonder if they ever got that ATI gimmick to work...

had forgotten about rtcw, will have to give it another run through.

OT, played a bit of D3 multiplayer yesterday and really enjoyed it. had the same sort of buzz as playing quake1 - but i guess you only get that feeling with really small player bases.

Speaking of Q3-based shooters, I tried getting SOF2 out again (terrible Mac port, so you need a dual G5 to get it to run at a half-decent framerate, especially the infamous first level), and the singleplayer campaign is still a piece of shit. Sad, really.

Thanks, will try tonight. I did jump down to the area you're talking about I believe, but i didn't blow anything up, just tried the door but it has no action option to open (as if it's part of the wall). There are some crates and stuff, so I'll blow those up and see.

Yup that was it. Had to grenade or rocket the barrels beside the door to gain entry. :/ They could have marked that better IMO.
