I've never understood why humanity, throughout its entire history, chooses to immortalize assholes. From the Egyptian pharaohs to Alexander The Great to Hilter to Pol Pot...the biggest fucking assholes, the worst of the worst who ever walked the face of the planet and who did nothing but loot, pillage, conquer and bring suffering to others are talked about in history classes decades, centuries or even millenia after they're dead and gone...yet maybe 2 or 3 people throughout recorded history - who actually did good works - are remembered.

My guess is humanity will always love a good psycho.

Or you just have a selective memory and there are good and bad sides to everyone. Obviously they aren't to the same degree, but a heated debate about whether someone like Mother Theresa was good or evil could be had.

You are so sweetly retarded it's funny.

The article didn't "single out" Apple for abusing foreign labour, it pointed out that Jobs was a hypocrite for basing his sales pitch on "individual freedom", yet knowingly using tyrannical production methods, including child labour.

You are completely missing the point: we wouldn't be talking about Alexander The Great if he created daycare centres. Instead, we talk about how many people he slaughtered and how he pushed is own army so far they actually told him they were were sick of him and were all going home.

The fact that we call him "The Great" should tell you all you need to know to understand my point.

they don't call him "the Great" in central asia. not sure what they do call him, but it probably isn't a million miles semantically-speaking from "fucking cunt"

Not to mention that he wasn't even "great" as a military leader. He was just a bungling idiot who was repeatedly lucky on the battlefield. He should have been destroyed long before he conquered anything, but luck just seemed to favor him. And yet, we still idolize him.

Thank you. I was beginning to feel i was the only one who held this opinion. I read up on his battles a few years back and was very surprised to see that the guy who is supposedly the greatest military leader that ever was usually had a complete lack of plan other than to charge straight ahead.

I think his dad did most of the work by modernizing the army and training the shit out of the troops, his whole campaign was a fluke.

Happily laugh over a dead 3 month old baby? You are more than a little pathetic. I've never used the ignore feature before, because I thought it a tool for the weak. Hmm. Now I know.

You may go on being insignificant now.

Heh, the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley portrays him as a total asshole. It came out in the late 90s, like 99 if I recall.
This line only remake is total rubbish I've ever seen!!! Fuck off!!! --CZghost

Whatever possessed you to post about such an event on a forum where every single person thinks you're a complete fucking idiot, I do not know, but it was your choice to do so. So if you want to make posts about me out of nowhere in threads like these, then expect me to bring it up. You're just a fucking moron on the internet to me, I honestly have zero empathy for any event that's happened in your life. You personally could die tomorrow, and if I were to find out I'd be more interested in what I was having for dinner.

You should probably just stick to making your retarded posts that prompted most to put you on ignore in the first place, or others just scrolls past, that make zero sense and have 80% of the words spelled incorrectly.

Because most people here can differentiate between what's just a dumb Q3W act and what's not. Besides, as much of a idiot peenyuh can be, no one deserves to lose a 3 month old grandson in a car accident caused by alcohol abuse.
