CSS resources/Website ideas

Post by inphlict »

I’m designing a new website for a new puzzle game and I need some good tutorials or resources to learn CSS. I’m also looking for templates that I can use.

I want a fairly simple and straight forward design that’s easy to navigate and is low on bandwith to keep the hosting price down.

Here is a quick idea made in mspaint.

Image

Top menu will be text based with probally an image background or maybe a solid color.

It will be something like this:

Play | News | FAQ | Submit | Ideas | Credits | Donate | Forum | Links

I'm not sure about the color theme, the game will be associated with evil. Is red good?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Why don't you fuck off already, we know you have absolutely no life and that you respond to practically any topic with the same old CAPITALIZED generic insults.

Why not go practice more of your kung fu instead? Maybe you'll have a chance next time someone steals your european handbag.

i just finished building this interface for a client that uses tabbed navigation:

i'm still not quite satisfied with the final result, but you get the idea.

thanks, inphlict. you may have noticed that the tabs lining the top are all contained within one background file. the css calls the appropriate coordinates depending on the body id. first time i've tried it.
