Best free websites

For building a Clan website? Just started up a TS clan and I want to build a webpage for us, but I don't know if Geoshitties is a great idea, especially if I eventually want to host a forum.

it isn't.

ask everyone in your clan to ask their dad to send a couple of $s to your dad - for less than $20, he can buy a proper site for a year that will support forums as well as a bevy of other stuff, then he can get back to sitting in his chair, staring at the wall and wondering where it all went wrong.

Why have my dad buy a server, when I could do it myself? Just 'cause I live with my parents doesn't mean they do anything for me. lol If I wanted to buy a server I would, but I don't feel like shelling out money, I'm cheap, if you saw the files on my computer you would then know the extent of my cheapness.

Try here - http://www.freewebspace.net/forums

Check under Free hosting offers

There are some sites that just give free hosting, others require you to post on their forums.

Here is a good one I use but they might not be accepting new people: http://www.host-dot.com/?page=signup

Is that in pounds because the site says $34.95

They also don't offer cpanel but their own panel, how does it compare.

http://www.phpwebhosting.com

$9.95 / month

~ 250 MB of space (you can request more free of charge)
~ unmetered bandwidth (they don't seem to ever restrict amount of traffic)
~ ftp/ssh/telnet access
~ unlimited mysql databases
~ phpmysql control panel for database administration
~ unlimited pop3 email addresses

i've been using them (and referring them) for 3 years now. never once had a problem.
