Cult of Mac
I'm a recent convert to the Cult of Mac and so far its been a painless transition from my ancient Dell running Windows 7 to a Macbook Pro. OSX seems really efficient and the battery life is a ridiculous improvement over my previous system. Does anyone have suggestions for apps that you've found useful beyond the usual Office and photo editing apps?

The only Mac specific thing I use in my work is the Visor hack for the Terminal, and maybe MacFUSE (despite it being a port).
Everything else is cross-platform.

Re: Cult of Mac
I like Transmit for ftp, but Filezilla is cross-platform. Utorrent is cross platform but Transmission is a good client too.
This app you drop onto the Finder toolbar:
http://code.google.com/p/cdto/
Can't think of anything else at the moment.

I've been supporting MAC's more and more in my job. I can't say I enjoy it...

MAC = Media Access Control (address).Κracus wrote:I've been supporting MAC's more and more in my job. I can't say I enjoy it...
Mac = Short for Macintosh = Apple computer.
Sorry, always bugs me when it's all in caps, and I don't even own one these days.

Yeah, I know what a MAC address is, but I've always typed Mac in caps because I do the same for PC.Psyche911 wrote:MAC = Media Access Control (address).Κracus wrote:I've been supporting MAC's more and more in my job. I can't say I enjoy it...

PC = Personal Computer
Mac = Macintosh
If your name is Bill Hendricks, you can abbreviate with BH but you can't call yourself BILL.
TL;DR: Congratulations, you're retarded.
