"Silent hill The movie, directed by French filmmaker Christophe Gans ("Brotherhood of the Wolf"), is budgeted at $45 million-$50 million, with additional casting not yet final. TriStar Pictures will release the film next year in the United States."
YES!
Silent hill is the scariest game ever... i just hope they will make one hell of a scary movie and try to be true to the original story and characters!
$50 million is a good budget...right?

btw, too bad they screwed up the sequals
the original ending they wanted you to see (which was shot down in SH3) was that after Harry killed Alessa, you see him lying dead in his car. ever seen Jacob's Ladder? same ending
[edit] oh and SH2's story is where its at

I think it's harder to make a good movie out of Doom than out of Silent Hill. Doom has virtually no storyline or character building going on. All that stuff has to be filled in by the scriptwriter.R00k wrote:They can't even get Doom right, and look how simple that one was. Hollywood could fuck up a wet dream.
With Silent Hill you have a decent story and a well rounded out character ready to be used.
But ofcourse, knowing Hollywood they'll fuck this up like they did with Resident Evil.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

it's pretty small.reefsurfer wrote:$50 million is a good budget...right?
you can sort of tell how much creative freedom the people making the film have by looking at the projected budget for a movie and who's backing that budget.
