Blocked ear..

i'm getting over a cold and for a couple of days now i've had a blocked ear. It's really pissing me off and no matter how much i push my finger in it or hold my nose and blow it's not going away

anyone any ideas?

i just tried blasting it with loud music from my headphones but all it's done is give me a headache

You can buy ear drops or you can get them syringed at the doctors (they basically fill it with hot water)

someone's suggested olive oil, so i've got warm olive oil in my ear with my head at 90 degrees at the moment

EDIT: actually, i dont think it has worked, i think it tricked me because i could hear even less with olive oil in my ear so when it came out it seemed normal

i'll buy some ear drops on monday if it hasnt cleared

i'm going to bed pretty soon. I had no trouble last night because i was tired and relatively drunk so it didnt matter, tonight i'm sober and not looking forward to it

Just use olive oil in you ear for a long time (like a couple of days) then while you're in the shower just hold your ear up to the shower head and let it blast the inside of your ear. If that doesn't work just go to the doctor, they'll do it in no time and it doesn't hurt a bit.
And don't stick your fucking finger in there. That's the worst thing you can do.
