Post by losCHUNK »

stumbled on this, thought some of you might be interested

http://www.panicstruckpro.com/revelatio ... tions.html

"Revelations" is a non-profit Star Wars fan film that was shot within the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC Metro Area. "Revelations" is made possible through a combined effort of artists, fans and the local film industry. Everyone who has worked on "Revelations" is a volunteer. No one is paid to make this film. Panic Struck Productions set out to produce their first independent film with a very small budget and the result is "Revelations"

No offense, but I don't get Star Wars.

What's so great about it that people have become so obsessed with? Were any of the Star Wars fans here even alive when the movies came out originally?

I enjoyed the first trilogy, I think they were good movies. And I'm sure in terms of special effects, they were amazing back then...

But I still don't get what the big deal is.

Any fans care to share their opinion?

Yeah, I watched the originals when they first hit the theaters. I'm not obsessed with it so I wouldn't be able to explain why some people are. I just enjoy watching the movies.

Just watched it, and it was pretty stupid. It was completely un-starwars like to me, and seemed like they spent way too much time on the CG (which looked like a game engine at times) and not enough time on perfecting the dialogue and the horrid acting. The fighting choreography was almost offputting it was so bad. It looked like they were trying to keep from breaking or scratching the props they used in filming the lightsabre scenes....ugh!

dunno, the cg looked pretty coherent and well-produced.

could ramble for ages about why i didn't like it, so in that respect it works well as a modern-day star wars movie.

there are too many fat people in this film.

I just watched the first 5 mins and then destroyed any evidence of it from my PC.

For such a cheap production the effects are excellent, however the acting is fucking awful and the dialogue is trash. So, it's just like the previous 2 Star Wars films then really.

Also the people in this are so damn ugly. What the hell was that fat thing at the beginning with the squashed in head? My god, ugly people should never make films. Really.
