Its fake. Fake, because its not called the 360 according to the xbox rep that comes in here. M$ has never really said thats what its called, just whats catched on with fans. Xenon is all they SAY its called...

Anyways, its "ok", small enough, nice design, but the amount of people that put their consoles standing up is few and this one looks like it will force you too. It has wireless pads, somethign i think every new console should have, and a few other things. Those memory slots look like they will make things ugly, if the xenon actually has the hard drive taken out... Which i hope it doesn't.

Either way, real or fake, nice design.

At least it will look nice, even if there wont be any games for it.

I heard it won't have a hard drive. I guess to cut down on costs but you'll be able to add a hard drive easily.

Wouldn't they ;) I dont think it looks "ugly" as such, just very, very odd. For a start, the power button suggests that the case should be placed on its side... I have no room for side units, so they will go flat for me. But then, it wont look symetrical :s

Anyways, there was talk of one version with a hrd rive and one without... Thats a kinda sucky way of doing things... Plus what happens in the future when you NEED that harddrive for games? i.e. content download, or even streaming data to it and using it as virtual ram (like doom 3 does now).

Its gonna be the whole perfect dark n64 expansion slot crap all over again...

Well, rumor has it that the version without the hard drive also lacks backward compatibility (obviously) and doesn't have some Microshit TV service (Tivo type thing, I presume?). But the cheaper version can be upgraded with a hard drive later.

I think this is fucking retarded. The HD is one of the best improvements the XBox made over the PS2. I often don't want to boot the PS2 up just because of the load times which are practically eliminated on the XBox in many games.

I guess we'll see in 3 weeks what the deal is though.

And personally, I could care less about wireless crap. Last thing I want to deal with is batteries for my input devices. Maybe if there was some sort of dock for them to hold & recharge them, it would be worthwhile, but AFAIK, all wireless controllers you have to replace the batteries for.

Aye, i love my xbox hard drive, makes the machine amazingly cool.

As for wireless, i love my wavebird pad but yes i see battery sales going up a LOT if that was the case. A docking station would simply own for charging your pad like i do my mouse.

Wireless pads are the way to go, but yes, only with a dock, or a years supply free of bats out the box... :p

or rechargeables
I get about 50 hours of gaming out of 2 AA batteries in my Logitech wireless gamepad. More if I turn off vibration feedback.

Well it's probably that big fucking power button and that port on the right of it.

Dunno about that, but they have to support 16:9 resollutions in order to be published for the XBox2. I'm thinking 720p is a more realistic goal. 1080 would be nice, though.

I hope they learn how to make a decent controller this time around cause we all know how shitty the original x-box controller was...ouch .

What, are you all a bunch of midgets? TBH, I love the original XBox controllers. I'm glad I bought a second when I did, because I don't think they sell them anymore, do they?

I much prefer it over PS2. It's not as good as the PS2 for certain kinds of games, ones where quick button combos are used like fighting games, but for everything else I love it.
