I stumbled upon this site by accident. It appears to be a quite large collection of custom Quake 3 maps. That in itself is nothing special, but I like the way they have overhead shots of pretty much every map in there, such as this:
[lvlshot]http://q3a.ath.cx/topview/ermap3.jpg[/lvlshot]
They also listed the features of the map pretty extensively.
If you search for a map you made and find it, then you can click the author name to get a listing of all of the maps by that author.
It was on this site where I also found an old Defrag map I once made, called Timejump. I pretty much forgot about it, so I've downloaded it and put it up at our website again :-)
Worldspawn Archive
Re: Worldspawn Archive
I have to admit, I don't quite often visit that map site even though it's actually quite impressive.
I forgot about their "overview top-view shot of the map" feature. It appears they now have a "Panorama" view where it actually loads the map in a 3d viewer and you can turn your camera view and look around, starting from the info_intermission entity of your mep.
---
Jeez, I forgot that my map was added to this site. I checked it out, and I didn't know it had gotten downloads, and people have been doing defrag "fast cap" on it?!? Cool. This totally inspires me to create another map if I know it's going to get played like this.

Oh, and cute defrag map there Eraser.

Re: Worldspawn Archive
and heres a list of the defrag 1.32 servers if you ever want to get back into it or just stop by. http://www.q3df.org/server
theres much more servers, but these servers specifically customized to set records and logged times.

Re: Worldspawn Archive
Well this site has been posted very often meanwhile. It's great. Pan has made a good job on this. And he still is working on new features. I still contribute tutorials to this site, and of course other lvl designers do it, too (so if you want to create a tutorial
)
And just for you: erde1.dm_68
My old defrag demo. I loved this map. It's very very cool. Actually think the time is pretty decent. Don't have q3a to watch it... Did you also create those erazer maps with "z"?
@deqer: don't you rather mean lvlworld.com with the panorama view?

Inside the erde1.pk3 file there's actually a demonstration demo I recorded myself, but it's .dm_66 so you need 1.30 for it. It's also not located in a demos subfolder so I don't think you can actually run it unless you extract it from the pk3 and place it in a defrag/demos folder yourself.
I didn't make the maps with erazer.
I only created these maps:
- McKinley's Vengeance (q3mckinley.bsp, in all it's incarnations for vQ3, Team Arena, PureCTF and AllianceCTF)
- Celestial Mechanics (erta1.bsp)
- Timejump (erde1.bsp)
- Rusty Browns (ermap3.bsp)
I threw all naming conventions out the window it appears

After making the first three maps, I decidec to stick to the ermapX.bsp naming convention, so Rusty Browns became ermap3 because I thought it was odd if I named it ermap1. I had, however, forgotten about Timejump so it should have been called ermap4 (or ermap2 if you consider mckinley's vengeance to be ermap1 since erta is for Team Arena and erde is for Defrag), but oh well.
