Re: MCP
You know, I know the title but I have no idea what a MCP actually does. Is it office automation?
At any rate: congrats, Kracus. One step closer to your first million bucks.

Re: MCP
It's just means Microsoft Certified Professional. All it really means is I'm technicly competent enough to do basic desktop support, OS installs automated install and rights problems. Nothing big but that first test is always a nail biter.
Ultimately though it means it'll be easier for me to get jobs in the IT field, now I just need to get about another dozen similar certifications

Re: MCP
Heh... instead of going for an NT4 cert I actualy tried to get my CNA in 99. (Certified Novell Admin) which sucked cause I failed by 1 point.
Which is probably the main reason I was anxious about this test. Hate plunking down 125$ to fail a test...

EMCSA, CCNP, and just finished VCP bootcamp two weeks ago (still have to take the test when I have some free time)... If you can't tell senior management has a hard-on for a private cloud datacenter.
Re: MCP
Oh yeah? Maybe you should mention my company to them. CenterBeam. That's what we do and we do it quite well. I beleive our target though are companies that make over a quarter million a year or larger. We work with companies as big as Bowne.

All the cool kids work for start-ups. Just a FYI.
Re: MCP
Sounds like exactly the type of company we work with, a few of our clients make billions a year. We do everything on the "cloud" for a lack of a better term, hosting email (exchange), servers remote support pretty much anything really. We also have a few clients that are large financial institutions too.Dr_Watson wrote:I work for 6 billion dollar financial institution kid.

this'll be great, kracus. watson can tell his people to talk to your people, they can thrash out the details and you can casually chuckle at the meeting that it all started on Q3W. this time next week, you'll be smoking a blunt and stepping out of a veyron with your magically thinner/better breasted girlfriend. you'll be headhunted as a consultant for multinational IT projects, which will be great cover for your real life as a secret agent who for some reason has to fly to brazil and be smothered with tits.

So you're basically certified to do the things the computer hobbyist does on a Sunday afternoon?Κracus wrote:It's just means Microsoft Certified Professional. So you sell into companies who, by definition, are failing? That seems like a GREAT business model!Κracus wrote:pft I'm just saying if a company is looking to downsize their in house It dept... It's what we do.
