UFC 118 - Spoilers
UFC 118 - Spoilers
Amazing, a washed up boxer couldn't last a round with a world class grappler. Who could have guessed.
Poor BJ.
Poor BJ.
Re: UFC 118 - Spoilers
Toney didn't even get to throw a single punch.
Was a crap card compared to the last two. Nate Diaz fight was good though.

Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

I'm sure Penn could've done better, not sure though.

117 was amazing, so it's pretty tough to top that. 118 was a letdown in comparison.
The dream is dead.

I wasn't hating, I was just hoping he'd have given a better performance.Nightshade wrote:Why all the hate for BJ? The guy's a fucking legend.

He has a fucking annoying personality, always making excuses and lying to cover up his own failures.Nightshade wrote:Why all the hate for BJ? The guy's a fucking legend.
I love quake!

Big fucking deal. It's fighting not fuckin' RSVP. It would be so fucking boring if every cunt who fights is just humble and respectful all the time.feedback wrote:He has a fucking annoying personality, always making excuses and lying to cover up his own failures.Nightshade wrote:Why all the hate for BJ? Well, you either like his personality or you don't, that's your opinion. But what has he lied about? Are you saying GSP didn't lube himself up like seremtan on a playground before they fought? What lies?feedback wrote:He has a fucking annoying personality, always making excuses and lying to cover up his own failures.Nightshade wrote:Why all the hate for BJ? The guy's a fucking legend.

Re: UFC 118 - Spoilers
Yeah yeah and what was Penn's excuse in fight number 2?
Re: UFC 118 - Spoilers
I would fuck GSP any day of the week before Penn. Just looking at his body... god. No homo.
I love quake!
Re: UFC 118 - Spoilers
I lost all respect for him after ufc-58, then 64. Shit talking like he was ever close to the level of GSP. Get schooled, then retract everything he said pre-fight. No difference here, he should retire if he has any self respect.LawL wrote:Really? How so?Scarface wrote:penn is a fucking bum
Re: UFC 118 - Spoilers
Why care so much about the fighters personality? And if you dislike a fighter so much it makes it all the more exciting to watch them fight because you're really hoping their opponent will tear them a new one. Compare that to watching two people fight who you know nothing of and have never seen before.
This is fighting, and when it comes to my level of respect for a fighter, I give it on the basis of their fighting merit, not their personality.
So that being said, let's take a look at GSP and BJ as fighters.
GSP: has totally dominated and cleaned out his welterweight division. Pretty much unbeatable. An awesome athlete. Never looks to finish his fights. Has been too scared to throw any strikes since his KO loss to Matt Serra. Is more than happy to go for takedowns and then lay all over his opponent for five rounds straight and grind out one boring decision win after another. Has been challenged by Anderson Silva, not to mention had every single fan salivating for several years, to go up a weight division and fight the middleweight champ as he has no competition in his division and always talks about wanting to be known as pound for pound number one. Yet has been too scared and has constantly made excuses as to why he can't go up a weight division to fight Silva, even though Silva himself fights back and forth between weight divisions with ease, and GSP is a huge welterweight.
BJ: had pretty much cleaned out his division and was considered near unbeatable until Frankie Edgar learned he could get a win by outjabbing and running away for five rounds. An awesome fighter, an average athlete. Always looks to, and consistently has, finish his fights in the most brutal and exciting way possible. Is absolutely tiny and weak for a welterweight, but because he wanted the challenge and actually has a pair of balls, has gone up and fought in that weight division multiple times, winning the Welterweight title.
I'll let you decide which fighter I have more respect for.
