The Amityville Horror

Post by Uaintseenme »

Just saw the new re-make of the classic. I'd have to say it's one of the best films I've seen in a while. Not only is it freaky, but the normal predictable things you may look for in most movies aren't too abundant in this one. For example, in one scene you expect/know that a certain scare tactic is about to take place, but it doesn't, instead it does something completely different. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the ending....

He should've killed his family, I would've liked it better that way.

Funny how they are still trying to bill it as a 'true story'. The people admitted years ago that it was all made up.

True or not, still an awesome movie I would recommend watching.

I'm sure I'll watch it. I never actually thought it was a true story years ago when I watched the original.

So since it's actually fake, what's up with this amityville site in...new york is it? I've heard things from people about the house, possibly just part of the myth.

I liked the book, read it when I was younger and it scared the shit out of me.

I saw it over the weekend. It was pretty good, as horror movies go.

They changed the story about the priest though, I was hoping they'd keep that in there.
