How the hell did you get CPMA to work? It just goes back to the menu when I try to play.

Looks great. Layout is great. Very well done.

The right sides of the stairs are caulked, so they leak.

[lvlshot]http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy159/kwsx/Quake%20III%20Mapping%20Feedback/ct3dm5b22.jpg[/lvlshot]

I recommend lighting this up a little. It's hard to see the fan.

[lvlshot]http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy159/kwsx/Quake%20III%20Mapping%20Feedback/ct3dm5b23.jpg[/lvlshot]

This bright lighting seems not to have a source.

[lvlshot]http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy159/kwsx/Quake%20III%20Mapping%20Feedback/ct3dm5b24.jpg[/lvlshot]

The geometry of the stair siding seems to be a tad off.

I recommend replacing it with:

Good luck in the competition, and don't forget to turn some of the ads around. :D

Wow. Really a great effort. Good luck with the contest. Unfortunately I couldn't attend.

Few things I have recognized:

- Is the lava intentionally so soft regarding sucking health? It's annoying to wait until you die..
- Is the rock texture phongshaded? Some spots it looks odd at the edges.
- Pic 1: Place some light to enlighten the fan
- Pic 2: Those lightshine could be aligned better and added to the other round lights as well. Gives a nice athmosperic touch.
- Pic 3: Rock looks odd at the edge/corner. Phongshading?

Buit those are small cosmetics. I really liek the map! Great job.

Final Beta

Download: http://cityy.explicits.de/uploads/maps/ ... _beta3.zip

Changes:
- added 2on2 TDM specific item layout
- finalized texturing
- clipping
- optimization with hint (as good as I can :b)

Feedback:
- TDM layout
- performance
- texture alignment
- clipping

Screenshots:

(yes I know about the misaligned texture there)

@ sumatra: Dunno about the rock.. it actually is phong shaded.

I would consider clipping most of the fences (and the other grates for fans). Also, some of the healths I found were floating. D:

Good luck with your submission. :)

Gave it a try and it looks and feels great. (And I love that texture set.)

Good luck!

:olo: Not the type of product placement I would have expected or is this your own "ad"?

It was a "word" of the week for the competition. They are used to post progress. City chose to place them in areas for ads for ease of display.

Small clipping problem:

Image

When walking along this wall the player gets stuck at this point.

Hope I was using the latest beta when testing but I found a spot where the lighting on a rock wall seemed very strange, I first thought there was a leak in that wall behind the pipe when I ran by:

This is what it looks like as a spectator:

Feels good; beside the stairs Anthem mentioned on 26/7, there's nothing left I would change here, nice work!

I would like to post this on Func Msgboard if that is ok with you cityy? If so, are there some final screenshots available?
