installing windows
installing windows
I don't hear much talk about this but it sounds like a good idea for people that like to install programs on a separate drive - installing windows on something like the d/ drive and leaving c/ open to let programs default c drive installation. sounds too easy, are there any disadvantages?
Re: installing windows
I have 2 hard drives. One for windows, programs, games. Another strictly for documents.
I don't see any advantages of separating OS from programs, sounds like a bit of extra mess. I imagine some people may think that they need to do that for a fresh OS install every few months, but quite frankly if you're that anal, just get yourself a decent ghosting program and re-image the OS instead.

Re: installing windows
There's absolutely no point and you're more likely to just add extra headaches for yourself down the line.
