Any connection between pears and diarrhea?

I'm allergic to almost any kind of fruit. So I thought I might try pears, as I couldn't remember getting any allergic reactions from them.

It went well, except for the severe diarrhea I experienced later that day. I didn't think it was connected to the pears, cause diarrhea is not one of my common allergic symptoms.

Today I ate pears again and it turns out I'm allergic to pears as well, with the usual symptoms. (Face turns red upon contact with juice, throat itches like a motherfucker)
And I get diarrhea again!

What is it about pears that gives me diarrhea? :icon23:

Diarrhea can sometimes be a symptom of an allergic reaction (some food allergies cause different symptoms). That's probably the case. That, or you have a bad batch of pears.

That's a shame. Fruits are great, I enjoy them in every other meal. Pears give me a bit of diarrhea as well, but I eat them anyway.
