It's a bit odd that if you're good, you get lots experience points. With lots of experience points, you get better weapons, better attachments, better items and better perks.
So basically if you're good, the game makes you even better?

Play long enough and everyone gets to the level cap and unlocks everything, as evident by the massive amount of people in CoD4 with gold crosses next to their name who sucked balls. In a few months, the playing field will level out.

Unless you're a starter in a few months time and everyone but you has a gazillion auto-aiming laser dot scoped faster-firing better-accuracy faster-reloading-with-bigger-clip-sizes guns...

If you've got a problem, use a gun.
If that don't work, use more gun.

True. But if you make a class that works for you and stick with it, it won't take long to get all of the challenges associated with that class. Fortunately the guns you start with aren't particularly worse than the later tier guns.

you start out with the best equipment/perks for killing things, whatever you unlock later you are sacrificing killing power for some other specialized perk to fit your game-style. it all balances out.

too many games to buy lately. So what's the verdict? I've read flip flop opinions...haha Andyman you said you were done for a while then like the next night posted about some 'rape combo.'

So far what I've read either people love it or hate it, and I'm trying to decide between dragon age or this. I have a feeling that with dragon age I would play 30 hours, get bored, stop playing and never finish.

MW2 seemed like way more fun at first glance, but hearing about all the lag issues has me second guessing it.
I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but I'll never be able to justify spending $120 on two video games so it's one or the other.

My opinion of MW2 is that in it's genre, it's in no way revolutionary or brings unexpected new things to the table. Yes, it's cool that you can control an attack helicopter in multiplayer, throw nukes and call in air supplies, but it's not some kind of whole new FPS experience or something.

The thing with MW2 is that it's a culmination of things we've (mostly) already seen before in other (FPS) games, but Infinity Ward executes it all with such perfection that the game really is one of the best (if not the best) in it's kind. While I prefer Quake 3's pureness and have been somewhat negative about the gameplay, lag and the perks system, MW2 still is incredibly enjoyable to me. And as I get further into it, it definitely grows on me.

While I haven't played Dragon Age I understand a similar thing can be said about that game. It brings little new to the table, but that which it does, it does well.

with the baby and all i am lucky to move up 1 level a day right now (lvl 53)....

so how is the ak compared to mw1? it was unquestionably the best gun in mw1...unless u were a moron. what about now? somehow i doubt it since all the weapons kill u so fast now and the combat rifles have little recoil...

what's the ak story? note: don't reply if u r one of those morons who didn't recognized how superior the ak was in mw1...

M16 was the best until i hit lvl 70. with stopping power pro and FMJs you can kill anybody in one burst now that the juggernaut perk is gone. i've only been using the AK now and its pretty overpowered like MW1.

lol, I hate that thing, but I'm getting a big kick out of killing people with point-blank shots. The round doesn't explode, the impact kills them. I want to get the "Not In The Face" achievement for head shots with the noob tube. :olo:

No shit, I picked them up off the ground a few times and goddamn is that broken. I don't have them unlocked myself, but I just reached 42, so I have the Ranger shotty, which has the Akimo unlockable...
