i think it will be funny if hackers make dedicated servers then more ppl end up playing on the hacked servers(with their pirated game) than iwnet...

sounds like a console port. tbh never had any problems with p2p mwf1 on 360. if it works just as well on pc and you get kb/m and better gfx not much to complain about.

I'm sure the overall faggotry of xbl will be there, but it will be fun to rank up with different weapons again. Plus the co-op stuff wil be fun with my cousin.

The funny thing is that all these things that are "missing" from the PC version have never been in any console game ever before, yet no one complained about that in console games.

I've played GoW2, Battlefield 1943, PGR4, COD4 and a bunch of other console games online and never have I felt that the whole experience was lacking in any way.

I'm not sure how hosting is handled on XBox Live, but I suspect that it's peer-to-peer as well? In GoW2 games have sometimes ended because the host quit. Since MW2 has host migration, I don't really see the problem.

Sure, a dedicated server might be preferable, but I think these changes don't have nearly the impact most people assume they will have.

For instance, the fact that people have been tweaking the shit out of Quake 3 with vertex lighting, crap-gfx settings, adjusted FOV's, etc was an odd practice IMO. IW is just saying we leveled the playing field for every player, now be the best at playing the game rather than being the best at tweaking your settings.

Tweaking settings in PC games doesn't make a shitty player good.

Eraser, you seem to be forgetting that when it comes to modding, consoles have always been shit out of luck.

Part of what makes PC gaming huge is modding and customisation, both of which are now gone with the loss of dedicated servers.

Console games wont moan because they have nothing to miss, they never had it in the first place... PC Gamers have a right to moan if Activision are shitting on them yet again.

If you're not the host, might as well just leave the game.

Something tells me his 34 and 1 score has something to do with it. How often do you see that in the games you play?
